Enter a price and shipping and see every Etsy fee, line by line, then what is left. Free, no sign-up, and nothing you type leaves your browser.

Offsite Ads fee applies only to orders Etsy attributes to an off-Etsy ad click within the last 30 days.

Changes the processing rate only where Etsy publishes a separate international rate (Canada, Australia, New Zealand). In Canada the lower rate also covers orders from the US.

Uses the standard national rate shown in the rate table (Etsy does not publish one). Not charged if you have a VAT ID on file in most countries, see the guide. US and Canada: no flat rate, so nothing is added.

How these numbers are modelled
  • Domestic or international: for Canada, Australia and New Zealand Etsy publishes a higher processing rate (4%) for international orders. The default is the domestic rate; tick "International order" to switch. Other countries have one rate.
  • The $0.20 USD listing fee and the $100 USD Offsite Ads cap are set by Etsy in US dollars. Outside the US they are shown in your currency at an assumed exchange rate, so those two amounts are approximate.
  • VAT, GST and sales tax on fees use standard national rates. Etsy does not publish these rates, so treat them as estimates. Check your own situation and your Etsy invoice. The US and Canada have no flat rate, so nothing is added there.
  • Not included: the 2.5% currency conversion fee (only when your listing currency differs from your payment account currency), Etsy Ads, shipping labels, deposit fees, Etsy Plus and the shop set-up fee.

Where the money goes on an Etsy order

A buyer pays $35.00 for a $30 item with $5 shipping, and the deposit that reaches you is smaller than you expect. The gap is a stack of fees, each charged on a different base. Etsy takes a $0.20 listing fee, a 6.5% transaction fee on the item price plus shipping, and a payment processing fee of 3% of the order total plus $0.25 for a US shop. If the buyer arrived through an Etsy ad shown elsewhere on the internet, an Offsite Ads fee of 15% (12% for shops past $10,000 USD of sales in a year) is added, up to $100 per order. In the United Kingdom, Canada and India a small regulatory operating fee applies, and VAT or GST can be added on top of fees.

KeepCent puts these lines in one place. The calculator above uses the rates Etsy publishes for your country, shows the formula, and gives you a number you can compare with your statement. When the order total is $35.00 and no ad is involved, you keep $31.22. With an Offsite Ads click, you keep $25.97. Seeing both next to each other is the point.

Pick the tool that answers your question

All of them live on the Etsy tools page together with the guides, so you can move from a fee calculation to the explanation behind it.

Why a deposit is a poor measure of profit

Most sellers check the deposit and call it close enough. The deposit is sales minus fees and taxes, and it also depends on timing: sales that are not yet available are left out until they are. Profit needs more. It needs your materials, packaging and postage, ad spend, and your own time. The Etsy profit calculator adds those to the fee stack, and the margin calculator works backwards from the margin you want to the price you should charge. If your deposit looks wrong, start with our guide on why an Etsy deposit is lower than sales.

Rates you can trust, with the date

Fee pages change, so every calculator shows the date its rates were last checked and links to Etsy's own pages: the Fees & Payments Policy, the Etsy Payments Policy and the relevant help articles. Rates that Etsy does not publish, such as national VAT or GST percentages, are flagged as standard national rates so you can check your own situation. Frequently asked questions

What is KeepCent?

KeepCent is a set of free calculators that show what an Etsy seller keeps from each sale: every Etsy fee, then your own costs. It is independent and not affiliated with Etsy, Inc.

How much of a sale do I keep after Etsy fees?

It depends on price, shipping, your country and whether the order came from Offsite Ads. For a US order of $30 plus $5 shipping the listing, transaction and processing fees are $3.78, so you keep $31.22 of $35.00 before your own costs. With a 15% Offsite Ads fee you keep $25.97.

Which countries are covered?

The United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, Singapore, India, South Africa, the Philippines and Malta, using the rates Etsy publishes for each, checked on the date shown under the calculator.

Is my data stored or uploaded?

No. The calculations run in your browser and the numbers you type are not sent to our server. Sharing a link only puts your inputs in the link you copy.

Is it free?

Yes. There is no sign-up and no paywall on the calculators or the guides.

How accurate is it?

It is an estimate from Etsy's published rates. Your Etsy monthly statement is the final word. VAT and GST on fees use standard national rates, which Etsy does not publish, and the listing fee outside the US is shown at an approximate currency conversion. Both are flagged on the page.
